Mar 02, as far as i know legally if plants are leaning into someones garden they have the right to cut them back however i think the can only cut them to their garden boundary. i would try speaking to her again before doing anything else but if thats not working then maybe speak to local council and if that doesnt work and it is really anoying you, you could speak to a solisitor and get them to send out a letter.
Dec 06, My neighbor who owns a house behind my house cut tree and bushes on my property. This is the 2nd time this has happened. He cut down one of our trees in 05/ while we were not at home.

It was reported to Police and he promised us not to come back to our property again. He owned two lots and recently sold one of the lots elephant bush is dropping leaves his cousin.
Obviously the rear half of the shrub will always be over your property.
Aug 23, Can you cut a neighbors branches, roots or trunk? Again, here is the fast stumpcutting.bar Because tree branches do not acquire prescriptive rights (see section A above), they are trespassers.
They may be removed, BUT not without risk. First of all imagine a large oak growing over the property line. Mar 26, “My neighbor’s tree has branches crossing over my fence. Can you cut them back to their side? And while you’re at it, can you cut all the roots that are in my lawn?” If I had a dime for every time someone asked me that question, I’d be the better looking version of Bill Gates.5/5.
Mar 27, You are legally entitled to trim the branches that encroach onto your property. However, unless the neighbor agrees to pay for this work, he or she is not obligated to pay for your labor costs. Also, you are not permitted to throw the clippings over onto. Apr 09, The neighboring landowner will have to cut back roots, remove bamboo/plant life on their property, cut back tree limbs themselves, etc., to keep their property from being damaged by the overgrowth.
University of Maryland Extension’s Home & Garden Information Center provides resources, for example, on how to control stumpcutting.barted Reading Time: 4 mins.
